The wind season has been GREAT this year: particularly good for surf lovers…the wind is blowing since over two months now! The World Championship of Windsurf has been a great show, with some of the most famous windsurfers of the world competing at Ponta Preta Beach. This has been probably the best edition of the Championship and Cape Verde is becoming very well known and important spot for the PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association).

Who won is Josh Angulo: Hawaiian guy who moved here to Cape Verde about 10 years ago. He dedicated the victory to Cape Verde and the capeverdians that have been supporting him strongly. Here some images of the great waves in Ponta Preta.
